RAN Group becomes Enora Group and expands into the UK by acquiring Ellacotts
Nordic financial and payroll service provider Enora Group takes its first step outside the Nordics by acquiring UK accountancy and audit firm Ellacotts. The acquisition opens a new market for Enora Group and marks an important step in the Group’s ambition to build a leading European tech-enabled full-service partner for accounting, payroll and advisory services.

Enora Group (formerly RAN Group) has acquired Ellacotts, a top 100 UK accountancy firm with a history dating back to the 1960s. The acquisition represents Enora Group’s first expansion outside the Nordics and strengthens the Group’s position as one of the fastest-growing providers of accounting, payroll and advisory services in Europe.
Ellacotts is headquartered in Banbury and operates through five offices across the Midlands and London. The company provides a broad range of services, including tax compliance and advisory, accounting, wealth planning, forensic services and audit.
The acquisition brings over 110 experts to Enora Group and adds revenue of approximately EUR 12 million (GBP 10.2 million). Following the acquisition, the combined Group will serve about 50,000 clients with 3,000 experts over 100 locations, and the Group’s pro forma revenue will increase to approximately EUR 360 million.
Ellacotts serves a diverse client base ranging from agricultural and private clients to owner-managed businesses and multinational companies. Agriculture has historically been one of the company’s key sectors, and today its client base also includes academies, charities, international clients, and owner managed businesses.
The acquisition provides Enora Group with a strong local presence in the UK and a platform for further growth in one of Europe’s largest professional services markets. The combination of Ellacotts’ long-standing client relationships, sector expertise and established UK market position combined with Enora Group’s Nordic experience, technology capabilities and scale creates new opportunities to support clients with increasingly comprehensive financial management and advisory services.
“Joining Enora Group marks an exciting new chapter for Ellacotts. The business has been built on deep client relationships, specialist expertise and a strong understanding of the sectors we serve. As part of Enora Group, we will be able to continue developing our services, create new opportunities for our people and provide our clients with access to an even broader range of expertise and resources. We look forward to building the future together,” says David Stevens, CEO of Ellacotts.
“The acquisition of Ellacotts is a great milestone for Enora Group. It marks our first step outside the Nordics and gives us a strong foundation in the UK market. Ellacotts is a highly respected firm with a long history, an experienced team and a strong position in several attractive client segments. Together, we can combine local expertise and trusted client relationships with the scale, technology and development capabilities of Enora Group. We are very pleased to welcome our new colleagues in the UK to the Group,” says Veronica Rörsgård, CEO of Enora Group.
“Enora Group has grown significantly in the Nordics, and this acquisition is an important step in the next phase of its development. The UK is a large and attractive market for accounting, payroll, taxation, and advisory services, and Ellacotts provides a strong entry point with its established position, broad service offering and experienced team. We see significant long-term potential in combining Enora Group’s Nordic platform with strong local companies that share its commitment to quality, customer value and continuous development,” says Fredrik Korterud, Partner at Norvestor.
